What is the cloud computing platform first introduced in 2008 using the code name "Project Red Dog"? In 2010 it was launched using the keyword which it is now known as. The cloud computing platform is providing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), preconfigured machine images for popular software packages. Its Web Apps allow you to build and deploy websites, WebJobs run background tasks within App Service. The portfolio of possibilities is way larger and is too broad to summarise in a quiz.

Answer to yesterday's question: Unicode, also The Unicode Standard or TUS. Largely having replaced the environment of incompatible character sets, it is used to encode the vast majority of texts on websites and on the internet. The origins can be traced back to Xerox Character Coding Standard in 1982 and investigation initiated in 1987 by Xerox employee Joe Becker with Apple employees Lee Collins and Mark Davis. The draft was proposed in August 1988.

TUS itself defines three encodings, UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32. UTF-8, the 8-bit form, is widely used also because of its backwards compatibility with ASCII.
